From manufacturing to the pouring of concrete, concrete is one of the most harmful materials for the environment,  accounting for approximately 5% of annual anthropogenic global CO2 production and concrete’s CO2 emissions have only been rivaled by coal. (1)

Well now people are really excited about a new foamy super strong super light material called Air crete, and people are flocking from all around the world to conferences to learn how to make it themselves. It’s important to note that Air crete is not “Air trained concrete” and maybe a better name for it would be Foam crete but Air crete it is.

And as a side note, for the Californians out there, this might be something you will enjoy.

So, should we adopt this new Air crete as the new official concrete? I guess we will see how it withstands….
